On Thursday, Clark County Marine Patrol Deputy Kevin Gadaire helped retrieve the body of a Vancouver man, Pioneer Anastacio Kelulau, from Klineline Pond.

The body was the third one he'd pulled from local waterways in three days and the fourth drowning he'd responded to in five days.

A helicopter crew lifted an injured hiker off Mount St. Helens on Thursday morning.

The Skamania County sheriff's office says 28-year-old Alana McCammon of Vancouver fell into a snow cave Wednesday night at about the 7,000-foot level of the volcano in southwest Washington. She was with 25-year-old Kyle Knight of Petersburg, Alaska.

Oregon men transported to hospital after falling off Cape Horn trail

Two Oregon men were transported to SW Washington Medical Center this afternoon after falling off the Cape Horn trail, approximately 7 miles east of Washougal WA in Skamania County. James VanLente, 75, of Wilsonville, OR and Martin Schwartz, 68, of Portland, OR were hiking in a group of 11 individuals when they came across an area where water had turned to ice on the trail.
